“By the time Karlten and I sat down, I had some really clear ideas, I just didn’t know how to achieve them. I knew what I wanted but I didn’t know how I was going to get there. So sitting down talking to Karlten, bouncing stuff off each other, we got to where we wanted to be.”

“For me it was about practicality. I wanted my kitchen to look good, obviously, but because I really like to cook for my family, I wanted it to be practical and I think we have really achieve that. All of the baking is in one area, all the roasting is in one area, all the dinnerware is in one area, so for me it was really about making it work for me.”

“I love the look of it, the black and white is just stunning. The only thing about the black is how hard it is to keep clean and you do have to wipe it down because it does show every mark. But, it is worth it because it looks is really stunning.”

“When you first come into the house the biggest thing people comment on is the stone in the kitchen. I think it is the impact of the waterfall edge and that it is completely seamless with all the joints and the fact that it runs up the walls into the splashback and around the window. We went to Quantum Quartz a few times because we just wanted to get it right. One hundred percent go and see the stone in the big size slab because it looks completely different to those tiny little samples and that is what sold us, seeing the big slab.”
